Caregiver Safety Measures for Patients at Home

Providing home care is a big responsibility. Whether the patient is elderly, recovering from surgery, or managing a long-term illness, caregiver safety measures ensure comfort, health, and reduced risks. Here are the most important guidelines every caregiver must follow.



1. Hygiene & Sanitation Safety

  • Wash hands before and after patient contact
  • Use gloves, mask (if needed), and sanitizers
  • Maintain clean bedding, clothes, and room
  • Disinfect commonly touched surfaces daily

2. Medication Safety

  • Regularly check device functioning
